Celebrate the New Year at the
34th Annual New Year's Bluegrass Festival in Jekyll Island, Georgia.
This is a unique festival in that it is held on an island
located just off the coast of Georgia. It is hosted by
the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
This year the festival runs from
Thursday, December 31 thru Saturday, January 2.
The bluegrass bands scheduled to
appear include:
Thursday - The Tennessee
Gentlemen, The Gary Waldrep Band,
Jesse McReynolds & The Va Boys, Marty Raybon & Full Circle,
Bobby Osborne & Rocky Top X-Press and Blue Highway.
Friday - The Larry Gillis Band, Goldwing Express, The
Inspirations, The Grascals, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and
Dailey & Vincent.
Saturday - Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, Nothin' Fancy,
The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, Phillip Steinmetz & His Sunny
Tennesseans, The Travelin' McCourys, Dailey & Vincent, Rhonda
Vincent & The Rage.
Several hotel lodging options are
available, as well as one local campground. There is a
$5.00 per day Parking Fee levied by the Jekyll Island
Authority as an entry fee.
