Bluegrass Music Festival Guide

Ryman Auditorium

The Ryman Auditorium, located in downtown Nashville, TN and known as the Mother Church of Country Music and the host of the Grand Ole Opry until 1974, plays host each summer to a series called Bluegrass Night at the Ryman.

A trip to Nashville should, at the very least, include a visit to the Ryman Auditorium.

Built in 1892, The Ryman was used for the Grand Ole Opry radio broadcasts from 1943 to 1974 and cemented it's place in music history.

Located at 116 Fifth Avenue North just inside the intersection of Broadway and 5th in downtown Nashville.

This National Historic Landmark offers daily backstage and self-guided tours where you can learn more about the Ryman's rich history, view rare photos and videos and tour the dressing rooms used the biggest stars both past and present.

Stop by the Ryman Gift Shop, located in the lobby, for Ryman t-shirts, books and CDs.

Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman series runs for 6 weeks from late June to late July and is held every Thursday night.

Opry at the Ryman brings back the Grand Ole Opry to the Ryman.  Runs November through February.
